Our wacky adventures as we chuck it all and escape the Minnesota winter for life aboard Lucky Duck, our 42-foot Nauticat.
Steve and Lynn Kluz have been married for 40 years. In December 2005, we both retired and fled the cold and snow of St. Paul, Minnesota for a life of new adventure on Lucky Duck (formerly named Gustie, in case anyone is confused), our 42-foot Nauticat sailboat. Our first two seasons of sailing was full of adventure and fun. Now we're on to our third season in the Caribbean.
In our previous lives, Steve was a bankruptcy lawyer and Lynn was a volunteer coordinator for a nonprofit. We have three children: Danielle, Steve, and Nate. Danielle has a husband named Nathan. Steve has a wife named Becky and they have an adorable toddler named Addy and a baby boy named Jake.
When we started out two years ago, both of us were relatively new to sailing (there aren't too many sailing opportunities in the land-locked Midwest) and we were nervous, but excited, about this new adventure. But we have survived, and thrived, and hope to have another great year!
If you'd like to contact either one of us, feel free to send an e-mail. Lynn can be contacted at lvkluz at yahoo dot com and Steve at sjkluz at yahoo dot com. We enourage you to keep in touch with us via e-mail or comment on the blog. This year we will be able to actually see our comments, so please let us know you stopped by to visit!
